Panchakarma: Ayurveda’s Ritual of Renewal
Panchakarma is Ayurveda's transformative process of purification, restoring balance to the body, mind, and spirit. Since 2012, I have undergone Panchakarma multiple times. These experiences have brought insights and healing that have profoundly shaped my life. For the past decade, I have guided others through this journey.
As your guide, I'll support you in connecting with not just the physical treatments and emotions that arise, but also with your prāna—life force—and the insights which come with that.
“The Panchakarma centre in India where we went has a dedicated, wonderfully kind and caring healing approach to nurturing the human body, spirit and mind. Emily’s guidance with advice, techniques, meditations and support helps the journey flow with interest and intent. She is the ‘glue’ by which it holds together. Without doubt it would be a lesser experience without Emily......she compliments the treatments, and makes the Ayurvedic experience even more profound, transformational, viable and fun.”
Physical Healing and Emotional Release
Physically, Panchakarma helps to eliminate accumulated toxins (ama) that contribute to various health symptoms such as digestive issues, skin problems, hormonal imbalances, ongoing poor sleep, low energy, joint and muscle pain or weakness, head, ear and eye problems. On a deeper, more subtle level, it draws out stuck energy, emotional imprints, deep-rooted tendencies, and ancestral patterns. With guidance from me, support from our group and venue, this Panchakarma experience is an opportunity to make necessary changes for your health in body, mind, relationships and your connection with life.
The Root Cause Approach
Ayurveda’s approach is to remove the root cause of illness. From a holistic perspective, everything—physical symptoms included—originates from the subtle to the gross. Think of it this way: The acorn, when nourished, grows into a full oak tree. What we see is the oak tree, but its origins lie in the seed. Similarly, physical symptoms stem from subtle underlying causes—an impression from childhood or an unconscious belief carries a certain vibration. Imprints of fear, anger, or grief create energetic disturbances in the body’s field, which then affect cellular rhythms and, over time, manifest as physical symptoms.
A Transformative Process
The daily treatments during Panchakarma clear congestion from the body tissues. As physical toxins are released, the root causes of imbalances can emerge. This process can bring old, stuck emotions and physical symptoms to the surface, which can feel vulnerable at times. This is where guidance from me and support from the group comes in.
There are also moments of stillness, peace, and joy which contribute to an experience of renewal, and transformation.

What’s Included in Phase 1:
Personalized Ayurvedic Consultation: A one-on-one consultation with Emily, one month before treatment, to assess your dosha imbalance and overall health. This will guide the design of a tailored approach to your Panchakarma journey.
Dietary Guidance: Specific dietary recommendations to regulate your digestive fire (agni) and prepare your digestive and metabolic functions for the treatment. These adjustments help optimize your body’s ability to assimilate nourishment and eliminate waste.
Opening Zoom Ritual: A group session to begin setting your intentions for the Panchakarma treatment. This ritual connects you with other members of the group and creates a shared sense of purpose and community as you embark on this transformative journey together.
