This is something that our transactional, economic world seems to ingrain in so many of us. In fact our society depends upon our belief in this falsehood in order to operate on a material, greed driven level. And we seem to be readily saluting it.
The ancient spiritual texts wholeheartedly emphasise the REAL truth. And that is…
We are all FULL and have FULLNESS. If we give some of our FULLNESS to another part of FULLNESS there is still FULLNESS.
In fact to go one step further… after an inspirational talk by SRI NIPUN MEHTA at the International “Ayurveda & Vedic Astrology” conference (“Where science meets consciousness- exploring the interconnectedness of man and nature”) by giving we INCREASE the FULLNESS. It’s the very gesture of GIVING that INCREASES our experience of FULLNESS.
And maybe- just maybe… if each day more people set an intention to give with absolute UNCONDITIONAL joy of giving WITHOUT seeking/expecting a transactional RETURN from that person/place or thing… then others will be so touched by the gesture they feel inspired to do the same for someone/something else…
