September arrives and endless summer holidays draw to a close. A regular work mode kicks in. The final quarter of the year begins. And it’s all go!

The elements of AIR and ETHER are most prominent this time of year.

The qualities of these elements are: cool, dry, mobile, light, erratic. This is evident in the cooling of temperatures, the drying and fading of the leaves, the autumnal winds and the often frenetic whirl of social and work calendars.

Respecting seasonal rhythm and creating a supportive daily routines/rituals promote overall health according to Ayurveda AND western science.

What is Ayurveda?

A-yur-veda is the ancient system of health and wellness based on the five elements theory. The five elements are said to be the building blocks of all things in life including your body and mind which are unique combinations of the five great elements (earth, water, fire, air and ether).

These elements fluctuate according to the seasonal environment or surrounding circumstances. A simple of seasonal adjustment in diet, daily routine and lifestyle will support your overall health this time of year.
